I love watching TV. My favourite shows are the talent competitions. They’re really fun. I like seeing all the teenagers lined up to audition and sing the latest songs. Some of them are really awful and you can see all the judges rolling their eyes and holding their ears in pain! Some of them are really good though and even though they are young and not famous at all.

The best bit is when you follow just a few of them because you get to know what they are like and where they are from. I always pick out some favourite singers and hope they win. One day I want to go and try it. I’d love to be a famous singer!

These shows all let you vote for your favourites. You can text or call. I don’t have my own mobile so I use the home phone. Last time the show was on I called in a lot and got into trouble. I didn’t ask first and it was a lot more money than a normal phone call even though I wasn’t calling for a long time because it is an ‘090’ number.

At first no-one knew what the number on the bill was but Dad looked it up on the PhonepayPlus number checker (www.phonepayplus.org.uk). First he said no one had called it but once he knew what it was he knew it was me. He wasn’t too cross. Dad told me not to get carried away, he knows I really love watching the show and he won't stop me but now I have a limit to how many votes I can make!
